I Finally Ditched the Heavy Beach Towel

By someone who used to haul a damp comforter to the shore

We've all done it: packed a giant cotton towel that stays wet for two days, weighs a ton, and collects half the beach. I was guilty of it every trip.

This purple microfiber one changed beach days for me. It shakes sand right off (no more packing half the dunes home), it's actually absorbent when I step out of the water, and it's dry before I'm even done lunch. The best part? It folds down smaller than a water bottle — it basically disappeared into my beach bag.

No sand, no stink, no "why is this still wet?" on the drive home. I grabbed the bright color on purpose so I can spot it from across the beach immediately.

Won't go back to cotton. Bought one in another color for my friend.
